Mariam Khan: Stand up comedian and native Montrealer, Mariam Khan has been regular fixture in the stand up comedy scene for the past 5+ years. While she can be seen performing in the city of Montreal almost every night of the week, she has performed in NYC, Toronto, Ottawa, San Francisco, and has been selected to perform for ZooFest JFL.
Diana Reyes is a multi-disciplinary artist and performer, dancer, DJ, and comedian. She has opened for Tita Jokes at Montreal Sketch Fest and was selected to perform with Bad Girls du Rire at ZooFest/OFFJFL. She is currently pursuing screenwriting with the Second City. She isn’t available for the Zoofest show, but we hope to see her again soon.
Raajiee Chelliah is an up-and-coming comic who started stand-up comedy fresh off the pandemic as a means of getting away from her parents for a few nights a week. Her parents still refer to stand up comedy as “funny shows” and she really hopes that changes soon! She’s been travelling all over Europe performing standup and recently spent a whole two months with her parents in Sri Lanka and has a lot to say.
Joanna Selvarajah is a budding comedian who performed her first set at the Comedy Nest in March 2022. She aspires to someday become a showrunner and has completed classes with the PACK theatre, Second City, and the UCB. She has worked alongside comedian Rachid Badouri, completed two pilot scripts and was featured in Zoofest and Off-JFL in her first year in comedy! She loves to workshop with comedians and edit jokes, all while crafting her own material. A child of conservative, religious refugees, Joanna has a unique outlook on life and is determined to use her upbringing to connect with people through laughter!
